There is no single best foundation for every Passivhaus project, but there is a wrong question hiding inside the right one. The useful question is not simply which foundation is best; it is which foundation can achieve the Psi-value your PHPP model needs at the wall-floor junction. Plenty of foundation types cannot, regardless of how well everything else in the design performs.
